Magic Johnson Reacts to Dodgers Signing Shohei Ohtani

The talk of the baseball world right now is Shohei Ohtani joining the Los Angeles Dodgers and rightfully so. He is the biggest star in the game of baseball. Now he’ll be playing in the second-largest city in the United States.

The Dodgers give Ohtani everything that he has wanted over the years. He doesn’t have to leave Southern California, gets to join a team that has made the postseason each year for the last 11 years, and receives the biggest contract in sports history.

This is a mutually beneficial move that will impact the game of baseball for a long time to come. Ohtani is now the star of Los Angeles, next to LeBron James with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Dodgers part-owner Magic Johnson reacted to the news of Ohtani joining the team. Johnson is known for his massive personality, and this news is huge for him.

It had long been expected that Ohtani could end up joining the Dodgers this off-season, and now the two sides have agreed on a contract. It may have taken longer than some people wanted it to, but fans will have 10 years to forget the pace of the winter.

Johnson also congratulated the rest of the Dodgers’ ownership group for getting this done. The Toronto Blue Jays had the winning bid as of Friday morning, but the Dodgers’ front office was able to get the deal over the finish line.

Team chairman Mark Walter and president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman can celebrate. Ohtani is a Dodger, and fans can’t wait for his debut.

  2. Yes, we hope the Dodgers now go for Yamamoto or Imanaga or Giolito or Glasnow. Any two of the above would be ideal.
