Miguel Rojas Scratched Before Dodgers Game Against Diamondbacks

Shortly after the initial lineups were announced for today’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, infielder Miguel Rojas was scratched from the lineup. He is dealing with lower leg soreness, so the team likely wants to be cautious with him.

After the news came out, Rojas was spotted taking ground balls, so it may not be overly serious. However, with the regular season starting up soon, it makes sense to take all precautions available with any minor injuries.

With all the shuffling around in the Dodgers infield rotations lately, they need someone like Rojas to be available. He provides them with solid defense, while also bringing a veteran presence to the locker room.

Last season, Rojas hit .236 with five home runs and 31 runs batted in over 125 games. While his bat may not always be his strength, he is a stable depth player for this team.

Hopefully, the injury isn’t too serious and we can see Rojas take the field again soon. We will continue to monitor everything and provide any information that comes out.
