Mookie Betts, Teoscar Hernandez Return for Series Finale

The Los Angeles Dodgers set their lineup as they look to bounce back after a loss against the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday.

The Dodgers carried a 3-1 lead into the eighth inning, but a catalog of errors in that inning allowed the visitors to take the lead and steal the second game of the series. Shohei Ohtani reached a major career milestone during the game, hitting the 300th homer of his career.

Who is starting for the Dodgers?

The Dodgers have Roki Sasaki on the mound for Wednesday’s rubber match, and will hope he can produce more than he has over his past couple of outings.

Sasaki allowed three runs in just four innings while walking five batters two starts ago, and allowed six earned runs through three innings his last time out. On the year, the right-hander has a 5.40 ERA, striking out 75 batters through exactly as many innings.

Who is in the Dodgers’ lineup?

The Dodgers’ lineup is fairly standard for the final game of the series, as they brought some of their main players back into the lineup following Tuesday’s loss. Shohei Ohtani—as always—leads off for the Dodgers and serves as their designated hitter, while second baseman Tommy Edman moves into the No. 2 spot. First baseman Freddie Freeman and shortstop Mookie Betts fill the next two spots, as third baseman Max Muncy drops to the No. 5 spot.

Teoscar Hernandez slots back into left field to bat sixth, and right fielder Kyle Tucker immediately follows him. Alex Call gives Andy Pages a much needed off day in center field, and catcher Eliezer Alfonzo and will round out the lineup.

Who is starting for the Rockies?

The Rockies are taking a chance in the final game of the series, and will start right-hander Gabriel Hughes on the mound. Hughes has never made an MLB start, only making his debut last Friday against the San Francisco Giants. He threw three scoreless innings against San Francisco, and will look to carry his momentum into Dodger Stadium as his club looks for a series win.

First pitch for Wednesday’s game comes at 7:10 p.m. PT.
