Photo: Dodgers’ Hanley Ramirez Shows Off His New Hairstyle
It seems as if Hanley Ramirez is making some changes to go along with turning 30 today.
The Dodger shortstop took to Instagram to show off his new hairstyle, after a night in which he celebrated his birthday. Ramirez traded in a traditional curly afro for a slicked back, straightened hairstyle. He was active on Instagram the past two days, showing his birthday celebration and even his Dodger-themed birthday cake.
Last season, Ramirez played in just 86 games because of injuries but managed to hit .345 with 20 home runs and 57 RBI. He’s been adamant in his love for Los Angeles and mentioned a while back that the Dodgers were working with him towards a contract extension. Ramirez is one of a few Dodgers that are active on social media, along with Yasiel Puig and Carl Crawford.
Ramirez is set to be the team’s starting shortstop next season and is expected to lead the offense, as he did in his short time last season, but it may all be done with a new look.
Here’s the picture Ramirez uploaded this afternoon:
