Quakes Manager Earns Baseball America Award Honors
Rancho Cucamonga Quakes manager Drew Saylor has earned the Minor League Manager of the Year award by Baseball America. The Quakes are the Single-A affiliate of the Dodgers. They finished the 2018 season with a 87-53, winning the division and going on to win the California League Championship.

Following a rocky first half of the season, the Quakes finished strong then ever, going 52-18 in the second half of the season to solidify a division title.
“It stands out to me because the way our team was performing wasn’t the way we wanted to be. The attitude, the atmosphere wasn’t where I wanted it to be. So my staff and I decided to see it through a positive lens.”
For any manager or coach out there that has had success in their careers, they can relate to Drew Saylor. Saylor and his staff never doubted their team because he knew the full potential of this ball club. Showing positivity can go a long ways when a team is going through a rough patch.
The 2018 season was the third for Drew Saylor as manager of the Quakes. Towards the end of the article, it notes that Saylor will be coaching with a different organization in 2019.
