Joc Pederson really got things going as he hit a double, but unfortunately with two runners on base the Dodgers failed to score as Kenta Maeda was at the plate and made the third out to end the inning.
However, what coud have been a run on Joc Pederson’s play was prevented by a fan interference.

The Dodgers offensive continued to struggle as they failed to score in the top of the third inning despite having Utely on base. Part of that was credited to an amazing catch by Rockies’ Daniel Descalso.
Descalso — what a catch!! He hit the wall awkwardly but held on to it, flipped to Blackmon to throw it in to the infield. Being checked.
