Shohei Ohtani Reveals What He Would Deem Successful During His Dodgers Tenure
The Los Angeles Dodgers front office went into high-spending mode this offseason, committing over $1 billion to a few players. They not only signed the best pitching prospect during free agency but also signed the best baseball player in the world, two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani.
Ohtani came to Los Angeles after spending six seasons in Anaheim and came up short every season. He, the fans, and the organization expect the exact opposite as a Dodger.
He was to win and win multiple titles. Ohtani told our very own Doug McKain he would only consider his Dodger tenure successful if he wins World Series titles.
“I think the only choice is to win a World Series.”
That is one of the main reasons why Ohtani came to Los Angeles. He wanted to be a part of an organization that is all about winning, winning at the highest level, and has all the tools to succeed for his entire tenure here.
World Series or bust. That’s how it is in Los Angeles and how it will be for the next ten years with Ohtani at the helm.
He’s the best player in baseball, with the best organization in baseball, so what more could you ask for as L.A. looks to win title after title? The excitement is palpable, and fans are clamoring for Ohtani on the mound and to eventually have him lift the Commisoner’s Trophy year after year.
Championships are the only thing that matters to the Dodgers and Ohtani. That is why they’re such a perfect fit for each other.
