The Dodger Stadium Organist is Playing Japanese Anime Theme Music

During the Dodgers’ first homestand of 2024, fans noticed Dodger Stadium organist Dieter Ruehle expand his repertoire of Japanese anime theme music during games.

Ruehle recently went on the Baseball Tonight podcast with Buster Olney to talk about the new additions to his repertoire:

“Each player’s different. I just try to make it fun for the fans, and if there’s some sort of link — like recently with Ohtani I just figured, maybe I could just play some Japanese anime songs that might be recognized by Ohtani fans. So I’ve been doing that recently. I’ve been playing Sailor Moon. I recently learned Jujutsu Kaisen.”
