Tweets Of The Night: Kemp, Puig, Ryu, Wilson Star In Dodgers 2-1 Win
The Dodgers were able to win two out of three against the San Diego Padres over the weekend, but they’re still eyeing home field advantage as they continue to chase the Braves and Cardinals.
Tonight, the Dodgers were in San Francisco for the first of a three game series at AT&T Park. After losing three out of four to their hated rival at Dodger Stadium, the Dodgers had revenge on their mind.
On the hill for the Dodgers tonight was Hyun-Jin Ryu and he was chasing his 14th win of the season. Ryu pitched well in his last start, but the Dodgers only provided him with one run and he was saddled with the loss.
The Giants had Matt Cain pitching tonight and he was hoping to get himself back to the .500 mark. Like the Dodgers with Ryu, the Giants haven’t been able able to provide him with enough runs for many of his starts.
While they’ve rested players of late, the Dodgers had their regulars in the lineup, with the exception of Andre Ethier as he continues to feel the effects of a sprained ankle.
Let’s get to the tweets of the night.
