Tweets Of The Night: Dodgers Get In Own Way In 4-3 Loss To Braves
After a dominating Game 1 performance from Clayton Kershaw, the Dodgers took a 1-0 NLDS series lead. The Dodgers’ offense showed up and delivered against Braves’ starter Kris Medlen and he was done after 4 innings.
Today, the Dodgers handed the ball to Zack Greinke and he hoped to give the Dodgers a commanding 2-0 series lead. With a 15-4 record and a 2.63 ERA druing the regular season, Greinke was looking to continue his dominance in Game 2 of the NLDS. Greinke does have past postseason experience, but he wasn’t very good. He went 1-1 with a 6.48 ERA with the Milwaukee Brewers in 2011. However, Greinke has been stellar this season and the Braves didn’t have it any easier with him on the mound today.
Mike Minor was the starter for the Braves this afternoon and the young lefty hoped to even the series at one. Minor had a solid season with a 13-9 record, but finished 0-4 in his last six starts. This was Minor’s first postseason appearance and only his third year in the majors, but he was given the tall order of evening the series.
The Dodgers didn’t make any lineup changes today and same goes for the Braves as Andre Ethier will be available to pinch hit and could possibly run the bases if necessary.
Here are the tweets of the day.
