Will the Dodgers Actually Spend Money This Offseason? Free Agency and Trade Targets | Blue Heaven Podcast
Our very own Clint Pasillas and myself, Noah Camras, are live on YouTube right now for the Blue Heaven Podcast. You can join the live stream by clicking the video at the top of the article, or by clicking right here.
It’s been almost two weeks since the Dodgers unceremoniously were dumped from the NLDS at the hands of the Arizona Diamondbacks. We’ve had some time to process the loss, and even heard from Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman and general manager Brandon Gomes earlier this week.
We have to unpack that entire press conference, and discuss all the most important aspects of it.
After that, we’ll reassess where the 40-man roster is at, and talk about free agency. Who do the Dodgers need to target this offseason to address their biggest needs?
Finally, we have to talk a little about the MLB postseason, especially the former Dodgers who remain involved. The Dodgers clearly dodged a bullet with Max Scherzer, but was Bryce Harper their biggest free agent miss in a while?
This is a live show, so as always, we want your takes and thoughts on all these topics and more.
Make sure you join the live stream to sound off on all these topics, and bring your questions as we’re always happy to go off topic to talk about the things you want to talk about.

I don’t think it is about spending money.
It is about getting the right players.
Players who can hit. for example, Luis Arraez was available, we sure could used at 2b or 3b or even lf. I sure he would good enough defensively. He could have the dodger leadoff hitter, pushing betts and freeman back where they belong in the lineup.
The point is they need hitters. They have been under valuing offense for too long.
Pitchers who have durability and can get the job done. Too many pitchers on il. too many reclamation projects. They could hader at relief and could have had some starters, if they were willing to get them or keep them ( bauer is a jerk, who may have treated unfairly by the league, urias was clearly much worse)
They are also waiting too long to bring up players from the minors. Too much trust in poor to less than mediocre veterans.
