2 Dodgers Pitchers Will be Unavailable for Games 1 and 2 of NLDS
With the NLDS finally underway, the Dodgers and manager Dave Roberts entered Saturday night’s game with a sense of confidence in the 26-man roster and in the pitching plan for the series. For the most part, that plan for the pitching staff is already laid out, barring anything unforeseen.
Of course, Clayton Kershaw started game 1 tonight in LA and Bobby Miller will get the ball for game 2 on Monday. Behind either of them, rookie starters Emmet Sheehan and Michael Grove will be available out of the bullpen, but Roberts did announce that two guys would be unavailable for the first two games of the series.
Lance Lynn and Ryan Pepiot will be down after both pitching in intrasquad games in the days leading up to game one of the NLDS. Pepiot tossed 4 innings on Friday and Lynn got his work in on Thursday.
Overall, it’s not a surprise to the Dodger front office, which is fully planning around the scheduled off days between games 1 and 2, and 2 and 3 in this series.

Kershaw is not invincible. He is not a 1 man team. We can lose 1or 2 games. As long as we win 3. Game 1 was a wake up call. Play hard dodgers and realize 1 game is only 1 game. I still have faith that we will advance. GO DODGERS
