Manager Dave Roberts spoke to reporters on Thursday and said shortstop Miguel Rojas and relievers Alex Vesia and Brusdar Graterol are all making great progress. Roberts said there is a “very good possibility” that Rojas, who missed the National League Championship Series, is on the roster.

“Miggy Ro is doing well,” Roberts said. “Yesterday he participated in the entire workout — running well, taking at-bats, catching grounders. Everything looks really good. So I think there’s a really good possibility we’ll see him on the roster.”

In regards to Vesia and Graterol, he said both are “trending in the right direction” to potentially be added.

Rojas has been dealing with an adductor injury that he re-aggravated during the NL Division Series. Rojas is set to undergo surgery this offseason, but has made it clear he wants to return for the World Series. Now, he may get that chance.

As for Vesia, he was left off the NLCS roster due to an intercostal strain he aggravated in Game of the NLDS. However, he threw live batting practice off the mound on Wednesday, and said he feels good heading into the World Series.

Finally, Graterol has had an injury-riddled 2024 season and hasn’t played since Sept. 24 after appearing in just seven games this regular season. He’s continuing to deal with a shoulder issue that has haunted him all year.

Would the Dodgers put him on the roster after missing the last month?

“It’s part of the math,” Roberts said. “I think the other part is his track record in the postseason, how good he’s been, how good the heartbeat’s been. We believe in the person, the stuff.

“So then if it plays out as he’s on the roster, then it’s more of a decision on when I feel comfortable using him. I just don’t know that answer, but I am hopeful that he’s in a good spot right now.”
