Dodgers Announce Non-Roster Invitees For Spring Training

The Dodgers are set to have pitchers and catchers report for workouts at Camelback Ranch starting Wednesday. With that, the team has announced that there will be 31 non-roster invitees to camps this year, including 17 pitchers and 3 catchers.

Most notably, the Dodgers will have a few of their top prospects in camp this year. Number 1 overall in the system Josiah Gray was one of the arms to receive an invite. Number 3 overall Kody Hoese also got an invite, along with infielders Michael Busch and Jacob Amaya.

The full list of roster invitees can be found here. The Dodgers did not include young catcher Diego Cartaya on the list, but they did invite several big arms. Recent draft picks Bobby Miller and Landon Knack were both on the list. A few guys signed to minor league deals were also included, such as Brandon Morrow and Jimmy Nelson.

It’s also worth noting that the Dodgers did extend an invitation to RHP Josh Sborz. Sborz was the guy that was designated for assignment when the team made the Trevor Bauer signing official, so he clearly made it through waivers to stay with them.

In total, the Dodgers invited 17 pitchers, 3 catchers, 9 infielders, and 3 outfielders to Spring Training for 2021.
