Dodgers’ Bobby Miller Hits Zach McKinstry With 98 MPH Pitch, Things Get Heated
Recently at Dodger Stadium, rookie pitcher Bobby Miller got into it with former Dodgers prospect and current Tigers infielder Zach McKinstry after the former grazed the latter with and up and in fastball. The two jawed at each other as Miller shouted to McKinstry that the incident was not intentional, but he may have added a few choice words to the mix.
As to what those words were, Dodgers Nation’s Doug McKain posted a breakdown of the incident in a great video on YouTube. Check it out here or watch in the video player at the top of this article.
McKinstry’s Tigers ultimately got the upper hand over the Dodgers with Detroit taking the final game of the series and avoiding the sweep in LA. Miller still had a solid outing, allowing just 2 runs over 6 innings in the loss. Perhaps most importantly from all of this, he didn’t get rattled and let the moment get to him.
The Dodgers will rely heavily on Bobby Miller this October as the club looks to bring home its eighth World Series title in franchise history.
