Dodgers fans finally got a taste of baseball this week as spring training has finally begun! And more importantly, fans finally get to see the top of the rotation with Walker Buehler and Clayton Kershaw making debuts this weekend.

Ahead On The Calendar
Almost a year to the day today, Clayton Kershaw was not feeling great. Early into spring training last year, Dodger fans were fairly concerned about his health. Last year, Walker Buehler was also being cautiously under-utilized. So far this spring, there are no indications that Walker Buehler or Clayton Kershaw are anything but healthy. Every Dodger fan should be really happy about this, and appreciative considering how slowly the last two springs moved.
Two Competitive Beasts
Clayton Kershaw has already sung the praises of Walker Buehler‘s competitive fire. With Walker Buehler now considered to be the Dodgers ace by many, it is a blessing that a veteran and future hall-of-famer in Clayton Kershaw is inspired to compete with him. A young gun’s cocky nature tempered with the sage and work-ethic of a veteran Kershaw is something, as the kids say, you “love to see.”
Dodgers’ Opening Day Men
Dave Roberts has not yet announced who will be starting opening day. In fact, he was pretty coy about it while admitting the candidates are down to two people. Whether or not Dave Roberts goes with tradition and gives Clayton Kershaw another opening day start, or passes the torch to the new ace in Walker Buehler remains to be seen. Dodger fans should be happy to as of now, both are healthy options for the glorious occasion that is opening day.
