Dodgers: Dave Roberts Has No Doubt Chris Taylor in a 2021 All-Star

Monday night’s win over the Phillies was just another night for Chris Taylor to shine. Just as he has all year long, Taylor came through in a big way for the Dodgers. He launched a fastball from Spencer Howard deep into left and parked it in the pavilion for his 9th homerun of the year.

That homerun just added to the ridiculous year that Taylor is having with the Dodgers. With all of the injuries that have plagued the team early on, he has arguably been the most valuable asset to Dave Roberts.

And Doc knows it. After the game, Roberts said what all Dodgers fans already know to be true. The 2021 All-Star Game manager said that CT was absolutely an All-Star, and we couldn’t agree more.

On the year, Taylor is slashing .275/.389/.475 with 9 homeruns and 36 runs driven in. He’s currently on pace to put up the best numbers of his career, and the Dodgers are thriving thanks to that. He is second on the team in fWAR just behind Max Muncy and is tied with Justin Turner for the most runs driven in.

The latest All-Star Game voting does not reflect that though. Taylor came in at number 6 in outfield voting, and that needs to change. There is arguably no Dodgers player more deserving of the nod than him. Fans looking to help him get to Denver this Summer can do so here
