Dodgers Dominate MLB Attendance Rankings for Ninth Straight Season

It pays to have the best fans in baseball.

For the ninth year in a row (2020 had empty stadiums), Dodger Stadium leads the other 29 ballparks in home-game attendance.

The Dodgers have led the league in attendance since 2013 — the same year they began their dominant stretch of NL West titles and postseason appearances.

The Dodgers have averaged a whopping 47,936 fans through their first 67 home games. It’s the second-most most they’ve averaged in a season since 2013, only trailing the 49,065 they averaged in 2019.

The Cardinals are in second place this year in home-game attendance, all the way down at 40,350 per game.

The LA ballclub has had over 3.2 million people attend their home games this season, greater than the Cardinals’ 2.9 million. Notably, St. Louis has also played six more home games up to this point.

The Dodgers also lead the league in overall attendance this year. An average of 38,881 people have attended a Dodger game this season. The Dodgers are second in the league in road-game attendance, with 30,792 fans per game. They only trail the Cubs, who average just over 31,000 fans on the road in four fewer games.

We always knew Dodger fans traveled well. It was easy to tell by the sea of blue and the constant ‘Let’s Go Dodgers’ chants no matter where they played.

But if anyone tried to tell you otherwise, the numbers show just how much better Dodger fans are at filling up a stadium than everyone else.

The Dodgers will need their fans to pack the ballpark come postseason time. So make sure you get your tickets and cheer on this special team on their quest for their second World Series title in three seasons.

And if you plan on attending a game at Blue Heaven on Earth, here’s everything you need to know to master the parking.
