Dodgers: Dustin May is Not Injured And Will Start on Monday

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has received a lot of questions about Dustin May lately. After pitching a really good outing back on March 2nd, DMay has been pretty much out of action. Doc clarified over the last few days that it was strictly mechanical.

Roberts also revealed on Sunday evening that May would start the Dodgers Spring game on Monday afternoon. It would be his first appearance since throwing 2 scoreless innings against the Giants.

Doc had mentioned that Dustin was working on the backfields and getting his work in despite not getting into games. May also threw in a B game on the backfields at some point.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts didn’t wait a long time to announce his Opening Day starter this year. Doc said the team is giving Clayton Kershaw the ball in Colorado on April 1st for his 9th Opening Day nod of his career.

Speaking of Doc, he was pretty candid when asked what he expects out of Dodgers pitchers when they step into the batter’s box this year. After a year off of hitting, Roberts sounded like he thought the success rates just for bunts alone was going to see a big dropoff from 2019.
