Dodgers ‘Exploring’ Trade For Justin Verlander, Can LA Afford Arenado and Ohtani, Buehler Update

As the trade deadline is just days away, Dodgers Nation’s Doug McKain took to the internet to answer the most pressing questions from fans. Of course, the latest trade rumors are top of mind for all of us. The Dodgers have been linked to some of the biggest names in the game and, after a busy week already, it looks like the front office might not be done adding.

The Mets may trade away Justin Verlander just month after signing him to a mega payday in the offseason. Max Scherzer could also be an option to leave New York for a return engagement in Los Angeles.

Perhaps the biggest rumors are surrounding the St. Louis Cardinals and star third baseman Nolan Arenado who finds himself at the mercy of trade talk once again. If the Dodgers can swing a deal to bring Nolan home, would that affect the team’s ability to pursue Shohei Ohtani in the offseason?

The short answer: absolutely not!
