Dodgers Fans Choose Their Favorite Clayton Kershaw Moments With LA
Clayton Kershaw has been a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers for 16 seasons. He has delivered countless moments, such as a no-hitter, an Opening Day home run and a World Series ring.
We asked on social media for fans to comment with their favorite Kershaw moment, and here are some of the favorites.
Opening Day 2013
Kershaw took the mound against the San Francisco Giants to open the season, pitched a complete game, and hit a solo home run. The Dodgers won the game 4-0.
No-Hitter vs. Rockies
On June 18, 2014, the Dodgers hosted the Colorado Rockies, and Kershaw finally threw his first no-hitter. It should have been a perfect game, but oh well.
2016 NLDS
In Game 5 of the 2016 National League Division Series against the Washington Nationals, Kenley Jansen was called upon early and ran out of gas in the ninth innings. With two on and one out, Kershaw entered the game after starting Game 4 two days before. Seven pitches later, the Dodgers were headed to the next round. It was Kershaw’s first and, so far, only career save.
2020 World Series
The moment fans had been waiting for happened in 2020 at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas. The Dodgers won the World Series, and Kershaw came sprinting in from the bullpen to celebrate.
