Dodgers Fans React to Dustin May Injury, Say Who Should Replace Him in Rotation
Wednesday was a rough day for the Dodgers as star right-hander Dustin May suffered an injury that’s going to sideline him for at least the next month.
May suffered a flexor pronator strain, which flared up during the first inning of Wednesday’s start. May underwent Tommy John surgery just two years ago, so it’s never good for an elbow injury to flare up again. However, his UCL is said to be intact, which is great news for May and the Dodgers.
Nonetheless, May is going to be sidelined for a little while at the minimum, and the Dodgers are losing yet another key piece to their rotation early in the year.
Dodger fans took to Twitter to wish May the best following his unfortunate injury.
Dodger fans also shared who they think should replace May in the rotation for the time being. Gavin Stone and Bobby Miller seemed to be the most popular answers.
Dylan Covey, one of the MVPs of Wednesday’s win, got some love, too.
Dodger Dash seems to have all the answers in a series of moves that look pretty good to me.
And these fans want to see the Dodgers make a trade before the deadline or sign someone off the free agent market.
And one fan, of course, wants to see the Dodgers finally make that move for Shohei Ohtani — but that doesn’t seem very likely this season.
Obviously, the most important thing is wishing the best to May. It can’t be easy for him to be dealing with another injury, but hopefully this one turns out to be exactly what we’re hearing, and May is back with the Dodgers within the next one to two months.

All the more sense to trade for Lucas Giolito. Throw in Anderson and Hendriks, and we’re saved.
