Freeman has been sensational this World Series, now hitting four home runs, including the first ever walk-off grand slam in World Series history. He hit a third inning home run in Game 2. Then, he’s hit first inning home runs in both Games 3 and 4 in New York.
Freeman is going to win the World Series MVP if the Dodgers finish this World Series. That will be his first career World Series MVP award in his second ever World Series victory.
Freeman has come up huge for the Dodgers this World Series, even though he’s playing on a sprained ankle. Freeman suffered the ankle injury in late September, and said doctors told him it should have been a four-to-six week stint on the injured list.
However, instead, Freeman was back less than 10 days later for the NLDS, and gutted it out in both the NLDS and NLCS. He got a few extra days off before the World Series, and it paid off big time.
Freeman is now on the verge of winning a World Series MVP as he leads the Dodgers to their eighth World Series title in franchise history.
