MLB Standings

Here’s a look at the lineup Dave Roberts is sending out against the right-hander.

Still no Chris Taylor or Max Muncy in the lineup, which means a 6th consecutive start for Michael Busch at third base. David Peralta is out of the lineup for a game while Jason Heyward plugs into left field. No word on whether Peralta is dealing with any lingering effects from the hamstring injury he suffered last weekend.

James Outman starts in center field and is riding a mini hot streak, hitting .348 over his last 7 games.

Pitching Matchup

Bobby Miller is making start number 6 of his big league career and has been mostly dominant up to this point. Up until the wheels fell off in the 5th inning of his most recent start, he was riding a 20 inning scoreless streak and looked firmly in control on the mound. Then in the 5th and 6th innings against the Giants, he served up 7 runs and saw his ERA balloon all the way to 2.83.

Ronel Blanco is getting major league service time for the second year in a row and is making just the 4th start of his career after recently transitioning to a starting role. He’s struggled in that role, allowing 9 runs over 17 innings.

Both pitchers have never faced their opposing team.
