Dodgers Injury Update: AJ Pollock and Gavin Lux Make Progess, Remain Out of Lineup
For the Dodgers, Saturday marks day three without AJ Pollock and day four without Gavin Lux in the starting lineup. Pollock has been dealing with a groin issue suffered in Thursday night’s win. While Lux is working through a wrist issue that is affecting his swing and throws on defense.
Before Saturday’s middle game against the rival Padres, Dave Roberts provided an update on his ailing but recovering players.
AJ Pollock is available today as he recovers from a groin issue. Gavin Lux "is at about 75%" as he deals with a wrist issue. #Dodgers

Each player has appeared in a game in some capacity for the club (pinch hitting, running, etc), but remain out of the starting lineup through Saturday. Considering the team is already without the services of Cody Bellinger as he deals with a small fracture in his left leg, and Mookie Betts has been nursing a sore back, the Dodgers are suddenly testing their depth early.
Zach McKinstry has started 10 games for LA and, perhaps more surprisingly, Luke Raley is getting into the action much more than anticipated since making his big league debut last week.
And now, the bench will be even more thinned out with the Dodgers sending infielder Matt Beaty down to bolster the bullpen. Meanwhile, LA is in San Diego for their first anticipated series against the Padres… and playing shorthanded.
Just the way you draw it up.
