Dodgers Interested In Pedro Martinez!
LA Times reports, that the Dodgers do have interest in Pedro Martinez. Ned Colletti said, “He’s somebody we’re curious about, We know how great he has been, and we know how popular he is in Los Angeles.” To touch on just has good he has been as of late, Pedro pitched for the Dominican Republic in the World Baseball Classics and pitched twice for six innings, zero runs, one hit, and six strikeouts. Signing Pedro would mean Schmidt goes on the backburner. This could prove to be a good thing, being that it gives Schmidt some time to recover from his surgery and work on command with his pitches.
I’m all for signing Pedro, say 4M gaurenteed with 3-4M in incentives (based on success, era + games played).
