Dodgers: Juan Soto Spotted at Wild Card Game Supporting His Former Teammates

October baseball brings out the biggest stars, but there was an unexpected sighting during Wednesday night’s Wild Card matchup between the Dodgers and Cardinals. In a true sign of friendship, the Washington Nationals’ young star Juan Soto was seen supporting his former teammates during their playoff opener, with some exceptions, of course.

The former World Series Champ showed up to the game in style, not only rocking his 2019 World Series ring but also repping what can now be considered a vintage Trea Turner Nationals jersey.

The All-Star outfielder had one of the best seats in the house, from which he cheered on another former teammate in Max Scherzer.

This would usually be the place where wild conspiracy theories of Soto-to-LA would go, but this is just a genuinely awesome moment from one of baseball’s best players. I mean, when was the last time that you saw another player fly across the country to be a regular, everyday fan? It was awesome to see, and Soto definitely seemed to be enjoying the show that his teammates were putting on.

While Juan Soto in a Dodgers jersey one day is fun to dream about, let’s just enjoy what was one of the coolest gestures in baseball this season.

  1. It was great to see Juan Soto in the stands showing love for his former teammates (and the Dodgers), good looking out. Now can Juan show up tomorrow to cheer on the Dodgers in San Francisco, with more Nats, sporting a T. Turner or Scherzer jersey?

    1. B McP, I believe Soto will make the trip to SF, as it’s only a few hundred miles to the north. It’s pay back time for Dodgers to take this series, win 1 or 2 games in SF, then finish the NLDS at Dodger Stadium.

      1. I echo those comments. Would a huge feather in their cap to topple the Giants with them having home field advantage! But jokes aside, the Giants are a scary bunch. Will take exceptional execution to beat them. This series will be a dandy. Enjoy the show.

  2. That was very nice of him to do that. They showed him on the jumbotron and everyone went nuts.

  3. I guarantee the Dodgers will get Soto in a couple years and will be the first 50 million a year player, And the rich get richer.

    1. Maybe, maybe not. Dodgers tried and ultimately passed on Bryce Harper too don’t forget. I trust the FO and AF to make the right moves at the right time. They have done one hell of a great job so far! This year’s team is even better than last year’s WS winner. The bullpen is performing way better.

  4. I see: Big Paul-ostensible Dodger fan since 1965 – is back today. Isn’t it time to take back some of your criticisms of Dave Roberts ? Or considering your daily barrages against him, at least acknowledge the excellent job he did last night?

    1. I for one will acknowledge that Roberts did one hell of a job in the game. I have been criticizing Roberts for some time, but it took some serious brass to pull Scherzer, but kudos for him doing so. If everyone reads Scherzer’s comments, it will bare out that Roberts made the correct decision. Now it is time to beat the Giants and beat them on their own turf.
