Trea Turner is a professional baseball player who is currently the shortstop for the Philadelphia Phillies. He was born on June 30, 1993, in Boynton Beach, Florida, USA. In 2014, he was selected by the San Diego Padres in the first round of the MLB draft and made his debut in 2016. He is known for his exceptional speed on the basepaths, his defensive skills at shortstop, as well as being an accomplished hitter, winning a batting title in 2021. He has a career batting average of .302 and a high on-base percentage. Turner is perhaps best known for his time with the Washington Nationals, where he played from 2015 to 2021. In 2021, He was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers, where he immediately made an impact and helped the team win the National League West division. He was named the National League Championship Series MVP during the Dodgers’ run to the 2021 World Series championship. Turner has been a standout player and was named to the National League All-Star team in 2021 with the Nationals and in 2022 with LA. Overall, Trea is considered one of the best shortstops in MLB and a key contributor to his team’s success.
