Dodgers: Kiké Hernandez and Wife Mariana Announce the Birth of Their Daughter
While everyone is focused on free agency and who the Dodgers might go after, good things have been happening outside of baseball. Kiké Hernandez and his wife Mariana announced today via social media that they welcomed their first daughter into the world.
Penélope Isabel Hernandez was born at 4:28 p.m on January 15th. The Dodgers/free agent super-utility posted that this was the best day of his life, way ahead of getting drafted to be a Major League Baseball player. Hernandez even went on to say that it was a better day than winning the World Series, and any parent can understand that.

The birth of his daughter could not have come at a better time, as Kiké is sure to command a sizeable contract in free agency. While the Dodgers likely will not retain his talent, Hernandez is sure to be on the radar of teams around the league.
Congrats to Kiké and Mariana on little Penelope, from all of Dodgers Nation!
Other Dodgers News
The Dodgers are reportedly interested in acquiring Marcus Semien should Justin Turner choose to sign with another team. The move doesn’t make much sense on paper but might add up a little more if JT were to move on.
The Dodgers are also one of the teams to inquire on reliever Jeremy Jeffress. That name should sound familiar for fans in Los Angeles as Jeffress gave up the go-ahead homerun to Justin Turner in the 2018 NLCS. Jeffress also went on to say Los Angeles’ hitters got lucky.
