Dodgers: Luke Raley Launches the Longest Homerun of the Season For LA
There wasn’t a whole lot to be happy about with the Dodgers loss on Wednesday night. Not only did they give up a lead and have the Rockies pour on runs, but they lost ground to the Giants in the NL West yet again.
But there was at least one cool moment for Dodgers fans to walk away with. That was when Luke Raley stepped up and absolutely demolished a ball to dead center off of Rockies’ starter German Marquez.
His 472 feet blast was the longest of the season for the Dodgers, and it was the third-longest by anyone on the team in the statcast era. Joc Pederson hit a 477 foot HR back in 2015 and Edwin Rios launched a 473 foot homer in 2019.
It was also the first time that Raley’s mom got to see him play in a big-league game. She made the trip out and got to share a special moment with her son following the game. Despite the Dodgers’ loss, that’s a pretty cool moment.

And last year (2020) I believe, Gavin Lux hit the longest HR there in Coors Field by a Dodger @ 453 FT.
Looked like it landed half way up the bleachers, which is usually 430 ft not 470.
