Dodgers: MiLB Pitcher Leaves Triple-A and Signs With KBO

The Dodgers will not have Yefry Ramirez as a depth option for the 2022 season. The right-handed pitcher had been with Oklahoma City to start the 2022 season. He appeared in 40.2 innings for the OKC team and pitched to a 3.76 ERA with them.

But Ramirez is taking his talents elsewhere. The Dodgers minor leaguer is heading to the Hanwha Eagles of the Korea Baseball Organization. He is expected to be paid $600,000 for the rest of the Eagles season.

Ramirez was playing with the OKC Dodgers this week, so a buyout between the two sides must have been an option. It’s also possible that the righty had an opt-out date on his minor league deal and that it passed without a promotion to the big leagues. That would have opened the door for him to sign with Hanwha.

If you thought you were having a bad week, at least this Dodgers bettor will make you feel slightly better. Someone out of Mississippi went out and bet $150,000 on Los Angeles to beat the Pirates on Tuesday night. Spoiler alert: they did not.

In terms of the best hitters of the month, it’s hard to beat Mookie Betts during the month of May. The Dodgers outfielder put up the best fWAR among hitters in Major League Baseball this past month, and his MVP candidacy is building.
