Player of the Day – Corey Seager
After starting the season 0 for 8 with 5 K’s, Seager has reached base safely in each of his last 5 games, going 10 for his last 21 with 3 doubles and a pair of walks. Still a little more than two weeks away from his 20th birthday, Corey had his biggest game of the young season on Wednesday, reaching base 5 times in the Quakes’ 14 inning loss. His last at bat was a line out to short, so he’s even making loud outs. Seager should thrive in the California League this year and I wouldn’t be surprised if he ended 2014 in Chattanooga.
