Player of the Day – Darnell Sweeney
Sweeney continues to hit, batting .368 in his last 10 games with a 1.026 OPS. The 23-year-old has been playing shortstop since Erisbel Arruebarrena was called up to the big club, but he’s much better suited at second base. If he shows improvement defensively at short, Sweeney could provide some value as a utility infielder at the big league level.
