Player of the Day – Julio Urias
It wasn’t a long outing for Urias, but it was a good one. The 17-year-old got off to a rough start in 2014, posting a 5.93 ERA in April.
However, he’s progressed each month, with a 2.63 ERA in May and a 1.80 ERA in two appearances in June. Urias has only allowed two home runs in 42.2 innings and has struck out 47. His overall 3.59 ERA would place Urias in the Top-10 in the league if he qualified.
