Dodgers Nation Week In Review: April 20 – April 26
To start the week, Clayton Kershaw threw a full effort in a simulated game as A.J. Ellis assumed his role behind the plate. Kershaw then took the next step in his recovery as he made his first rehab start in Rancho Cucamonga on Friday. It has been rumored that Kershaw will need another rehab start before returning to the Dodgers.
The Dodgers also made some pitching changes early in the week with their bullpen as they decided to make room for another reliever and added Jose Dominguez while optioning infielder Chone Figgins to Triple-A. Adding on the additional pitcher to the roster has not proven entirely effective this week after the team was plagued by a few extra-innings losses. Additionally, Don Mattingly has been extremely frustrated with the plethora of errors the team continues to commit.
