Dodgers News And Rumors: Juan Uribe Wins Dodgers’ Wilson DPOY

With finalists and award winners being announced this past week, Dodgers’ third baseman Juan Uribe won the Wilson Defensive Player of the Year Award for the Dodgers. The 34-year-old was the Dodgers’ representative for the award from the sporting goods manufacturer.

Last season, Uribe played just over 900 innings at third base and had just five errors. He was in the final year of a three-year contract and is now a free agent. With the award, Uribe joined teammates Clayton Kershaw and Zack Greinke as award winners this week. Kershaw won the Players’ Choice for National League Outstanding Pitcher, while Greinke won an award for his bat as he was named NL Silver Slugger for pitchers.

The Dodgers may add more hardware in the coming weeks with finalists in a variety of categories.
