Dodgers News: Andrew Heaney Activated, RHP Jake Reed Added to the Bullpen

The Dodgers will look to avoid getting swept by the Nationals this afternoon in Los Angeles. After dropping the first pair of games in disappointing fashion, they will send out Andrew Heaney to make his fourth start of the season. He has been shut down for most of the year with a lingering shoulder issue.

But before that, the Dodgers needed to make a few moves. Heaney was activated, and they also added Jake Reed back into the bullpen mix. Reed was claimed off of waivers from the Mets after being designated for assignment on July 10th. It’s his second stint with Los Angeles, and he pitched just 2 innings at OKC before being recalled.
