And then there were two.
We’re finally seeing the Los Angeles Dodgers’ search for a manager round into shape. Wednesday morning, another morsel of news made its way through social media that should excite fans.

A decision by Friday or Saturday?! Hallelujah! He continued…
Indications are #Dodgers manager job will come down to Gabe Kapler and Dave Roberts. Bud Black appears to be out of the mix.

This is pretty consistent with everything we’ve heard thus far. Kapler has always been in the lead in this race, but Roberts has undeniably made a run after what appears to be a very impressive interview.
I’d still be pretty shocked in Kapler isn’t hired given his relationship both with the organization, Andrew Friedman and the Dodgers’ youth — which they’ll be relying heavily on in the near future to produce.
What will be interesting to see is if Roberts might stick around to be the bench coach if he isn’t chosen and whether Kapler will take on a larger role with the major league level versus maintaining his current position of managing the minor league development.
Either way, though, both candidates are obviously very strong and we can’t possibly be more excited to see who the front office chooses.
