Dodgers News: Brusdar Graterol Gets the Start Tonight in the Bullpen Game
The Dodgers will indeed be throwing another bullpen game tonight in Los Angeles. With starters still on the end and trying to come back, they continue to find themselves a little short on length arms at times.
And even though they did recall RHP Andre Jackson today, the Dodgers are starting Bursdar Graterol in game 1 of the series. Graterol will face off against a decent run of hitters to start the game with Charlie Blackmon batting third for the Rockies.
The thought is that Jackson will come on in relief to give the Dodgers some innings. Getting 4 innings of work out of him behind Brusdar’s 1 would be ideal, though anything more than that would be very much appreciated by a depleted bullpen.

Graterol has been on a bit of a roll over the last couple of weeks for the Dodgers. For the month of August, he has made 10 appearances and pitched a total of 11 innings while being charged with 2 runs, He has also struck out 11 batters in that time and induced a whole lot of soft contact.
But the Dodgers will need to continue to find ways to scrap together these long bullpen games. Clayton Kershaw and Tony Gonsolin are on the mend but are not quite close for the moment.
