According to Eric Stephen of True Blue LA, this is the ninth time that a Dodgers rookie has received the award.
Bellinger is 9th Dodgers rookie to win POTW, joining Cey, Fernando (x2), Maldonado, Karros, Piazza (x3), Nomo, Ethier, and Puig

In a week that included three home runs, including a grand slam that he hit out on an 0-2 fastball, Bellinger put up some gaudy numbers. Numbers that no 21-year-old should be capable of putting up at the major league level.

Cody Bellinger will be the Dodgers’ first baseman for the foreseeable future. It looks like he will have a permanent spot in the lineup as the newest member in Los Angeles.
