Dodgers News: Corey Seager Gets Day Off in Pittsburgh

Los Angeles Dodgers’ reigning Rookie of the Year and All-Star shortstop Corey Seager is getting a day off in the final game of the four game series in Pittsburgh.

The dodgers will be putting together another of their mix and matched lineups, moving Curtis Granderson up to the number two spot in place of Corey Seager in the lineup and Kiké Hernandez gets the start in place of Seager, batting eighth.

Seager was the only Dodger in yesterday’s lineup that brought his bat to the game, going 3-for-5, raising his average up to .311 on the season and his OPS over .900 at .901.

Coincidentally, Kiké Hernandez will be getting the start at shortstop on his 26th birthday. It is just his 12th start at shortstop this season, relieving Corey Seager on his rare off-day.

It would be good to see the Dodgers recover as a team after yesterday’s heartbreaking loss. Probably the most heartbreaking loss a team that has a 20 game lead can have in the regular season.
