Dodgers News: Dave Roberts Provides Updates on Injured Players
On Saturday at Dodger Stadium, manager Dave Roberts provided some updates on several injured Dodgers. First up, Corey Seager.
Corey Seager will likely be activated on Friday. Roberts said he’ll play all three night games in Boston & likely 3 of 4 against #Phillies.

With Doc penciling in the Friday after the All-Star break for Corey’s return, he expanded on the expected post-activation workload for the rehabbing shortstop, which included 6 of 7 games in the lineup.
This comes on the heels of Seager collecting 2 hits and an RBI in 2 at-bats for single-A Rancho Cucamonga against the Angels’ minor league club on Friday night.

Scott Alexander on the Mend
Scott Alexander has been on the IL since early June while dealing with forearm and later thumb issues. SportsNet LA anchor Alanna Rizzo also provided the update on Alexander’s status saying that he has been throwing off a mound at the Dodgers spring training complex in Arizona. Rizzo added that he hasn’t faced batters yet, and that he will require a rehab assignment before being activated.
The Dodgers bullpen currently has only Julio Urias and Zac Rosscup as left-handed options, so a healthy Alexander could be a welcome sight.
David Freese Running at Dodger Stadium
Finally, David Freese was found testing his injured hamstring at Dodger Stadium on Saturday.

Freese was running the bases, taking groundballs, and hitting during batting practice. Out since June 21 with a hamstring strain, Freese is hopeful to be activated on Friday in Boston.
