Dodgers News: Dave Roberts Reacts to Historic Regular Season Win Total

History has been made. For a franchise as storied as the Dodgers, history rings through in all facets of the organization in its nearly 140 years of existence making win number 107 that much sweeter

There’s still work to be done, but even athletes and coaches can learn to soak in such a moment. While the Dodgers have been mildly sloppy of late, manager Dave Roberts was still able to reflect on the accomplishment (quotes via Bill Plunkett, The OC Register).

Not only did the Dodgers set the franchise record for wins, but they are also the first MLB team ever to amass at-least 106 wins in more than one season (2019 and 2021) and still manage to improve the record the following year.

With the Dodgers hitting their final milestone of the regular season, all eyes are now set upon a deep postseason run. While regular season records are great in their own right, greatness is ultimately measured by championships.

If the Dodgers are unable to climb to the top of the mountain to put the exclamation point on the greatest Dodgers team ever, all the accolades and achievements ultimately become just a footnote in time.
