Dodgers News: David Peralta Exits Friday’s Game Early with Injury
The health of the Dodgers took another hit on Friday night as outfielder David Peralta left the contest with the Giants early with an apparent ankle injury. The veteran rolled his ankle on a play at first base, avoiding San Francisco’s LaMonte Wade Jr.

He originally stayed in and ran to second base on a ground out by Miguel Vargas but exited as the team went back out on defense in the top of the third inning. Rookie outfielder James Outman took over for Peralta, entering the game in center field while fellow rookie Jonny DeLuca slid over to left field for the first time as a big leaguer.
The Dodgers can ill afford to be without the services of Peralta for an extended period of time as he’s been one of the better hitters in the middle of the lineup for the last month-plus. He was 1-1 in Friday night’s game and has posted a batting average of nearly .340 since the start of May.
More details to come on the severity of the injury.
UPDATE
Peralta exited with a left hamstring strain, according to the Dodgers.
