Dodgers News: Chris Taylor Forced to Exit Friday’s Game With Injury
The Dodgers have had better days. On the same day that third baseman Max Muncy hit the injured list with a hamstring strain, and the same day that David Peralta exited Friday’s game with an apparent injury, Chris Taylor did, too.
On Friday, Taylor was forced to exit the game against the Giants in the fourth inning, replaced by the recently called up Michael Busch. Taylor appeared to come up somewhat gimpy during his last at-bat as he got to first base.
We don’t know what happened, but it likely has something to do with his lower body if he hurt himself while running, probably the hamstring.
We obviously don’t want to speculate on anything, but hopefully Taylor is not seriously injured, as that would further hurt the Dodgers’ depth at third base, which has already been affected with the loss of Muncy.
If Taylor and Muncy are out, Busch will be the only third baseman on the active roster. Miguel Vargas can play third, but the Dodgers likely wouldn’t move him off of second as he continues to learn it.
We’ll continue to update you on this story when we know more, but for now, Taylor and Peralta are out of Friday’s game. Not good.
