Dodgers News: Julio Urias, Freddie Freeman, Will Smith Make All-MLB Second Team
The awards keep on coming for your Los Angeles Dodgers. Dodgers ace Julio Urias, first baseman Freddie Freeman,and catcher Will Smith have been selected to the All-MLB Second Team.

Urias was as good as it gets in 2022. He had a career year ,posting a career-best 2.16 ERA with a 17-7 record and 166 strikeouts in 175 innings pitched. You would think it was impossible for Julio to replicate what he did in 2021, but somehow, he was better.
The first-year Dodger Freddie Freeman was on a tear in 2022. In his age-32 season, Freeman slashed .325/.407/.511 with a .918 OPS that ranked ninth in the league. He hit 21 home runs and 100 RBIs in 612 at-bats. Freeman also led the league in hits at 199; his former teammate, Trea Turner, was second with 194 hits.
Catcher Will Smith takes home the honors as the man behind the plate for the All-MLB Second Team. Smith slashed .260/.343/.465 with a .808 OPS while hitting in the clean-up spot for the best team in the regular season. Among catchers, Smith was among the best at the position; he was second in hits with 132, first in home runs at 24 and first in RBIs at 87.
The Dodgers earned themselves a franchise record in wins with 111, and none of that would have been possible without these three players.
All three were phenomenal throughout the 2022 regular season and deserved to be All-MLB selections.
