Dodgers News: Justin Bruihl Thanks LA in Social Media Post

One of the smaller moves that the Dodgers made at the trade deadline was trading away relief pitcher Justin Bruihl to the Colorado Rockies for cash considerations.

LA was in the process of designating him for assignment before the trade happened, so they at least got something for him. They needed to make room on the roster for their other additions of Lance Lynn and Joe Kelly

Bruihl posted a heartfelt thank you to the Dodgers and the city of LA shortly after the trade. You can see it below or click here

He made his debut with the Dodgers in 2021 and owns a career ERA of 3.65 ERA and 1.20 WHIP. Bruihl was a middle-inning reliever for the team mainly, but he never showed a consistent streak. Even this year, he was up and down, and the team wanted to see more.

On the season, he owns an ERA of 4.07 and has 19 strikeouts over 24.1 innings of work. He became expendable after the Dodgers’ deadline moves.

Bruihl now gets his chance with the Rockies, and he is only 26 years old. He is still in pre-arbitration, so if he sticks with Colorado, the Dodgers will likely see him often going forward.

We all wish him luck in Colorado, except when he plays the Dodgers, of course!
