Dodgers News: Kiké Hernández Reportedly Is Expected to Sign Very Soon

Dodgers free agent utilityman Kiké Hernández is expected to make his decision on his new team very shortly. MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand has reported that Hernández could be deciding either Sunday or Monday.

There has been thought that he could end up back with the Dodgers, but they seem set within their roster. The Los Angeles Angels have shown interest in him this offseason, but it remains to be seen if he would be willing to head down the I-5 freeway.

Hernández came back to the Dodgers at the trade deadline last season and showed how valuable he could be. he struggled early on in the year with the Boston Red Sox but returned to his old ways once he rejoined Los Angeles.

He put up a batting average of .262 while driving in 30 runs over 54 games. Hernández can be a solid addition to any team due to his flexibility around the field. He can play multiple positions, making different lineup sets available.

While he unfortunately won’t be coming back with the Dodgers, barring anything unforeseen, Hernández will always be a fan-favorite. He was a major reason why the team won the 2020 World Series and helped energize squads throughout his time in Los Angeles.

  1. Wish Kiki would stay with dodgers they are such an ungrateful a team as there ever was

  2. Kiki would continue be a good member of the dodgers! The dodgers are the most ungrateful team when it come to keeping their team together why don’t they get rid of Andrew Friedman he’s the one that should go! We have close so many good players !

  3. KiKi Hernandez is a great team player and will be sorely missed! Don’t know why the Dodgers couldn’t have made an effort to keep him. ?
