Dodgers News: LA Open As Early Favorites for 2023 World Series

With the 2022 MLB season ending last night, it’s time to look forward to the next season.
After a historic 2022 season that ended in the worst way possible, the Dodgers are still an excellent team who will be in the mix for the commissioner’s trophy in 2023, and Vegas recognizes that.

According to Vegas Insider, the Los Angeles Dodgers have the best odds of winning the World Series at +500. This means that you can win $500 if you wager with $100. +500 is also equivalent to 5-to-1 odds.

The newly crowned champions, Houston Astros, have the second-best odds to repeat at +600. And last year’s champions, Atlanta Braves, have the third-best odds at +800. The Dodgers, Astros, and Braves were the three best teams record-wise in 2022, as they combined for a record of 318-167.

Whatever stage of depression you might still be on regarding the Dodgers’ loss, you must admit that the Dodgers are still a very stacked team.

They could lose some big names this off-season, but they can find a replacement if needed.

Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman are the head of the snake in the lineup, while ace Julio Urias will lead the charge in the rotation.

The Dodgers have the star power and the pipeline to remain good for a long time.
Talent can only get you so far, and we’ve witnessed that with the team for a number of years.
However, the odds makers in Vegas got this one right.

  1. With Fraudberts coming back, we will not make it far in the postseason, if we even get in.

  2. Bye bye Belli, Kimbrel, Turners, Gallo. Welcome Vargas, Outman, deGrom, Swanson, and a new closer. My wish list!!

  3. With Fraudberts coming back, we will unfortunately be in the same position or worse next year.

  4. At this point in time, I gotta disagree with the odds makers. I get how they base their odds, but at some point don’t you take the management and it’s style of decision making into consideration? As of right now, their is no indication that the Dodgers & Robert’s will change their M.O.

  5. Not just Roberts it’s Friedman and Company his siber metric nerds. Dum ideas not to let pitchers face opposing lineup a third time.I said it before and I’ll say it again with these nerds Dodgers wouldn’t have won in 81 and 88. With Tommy they would have won at last 6 during last 9 years. Just measure the talent we had in 88 with talent for last 9 years and it’s not even close.

  6. Or look at Bruce Bochy real baseball man not a siber metric nerd. 3 World Series Championships in 5 years with less than one third of the talent dodgers have had in last 8 years.but owner already said he’s happy with just making playoffs .
