Dodgers News: Law Enforcement Reportedly Has Video of Julio Urias Altercation

In a new update on the case involving Dodgers pitcher Julio Urias, ESPN has reported that authorities investigating the altercation have acquired video of the incident. Urias was arrested last Sunday following reports of a physical altercation between a man — Julio Urias — and a woman outside BMO Stadium in Los Angeles.

A bystander reportedly recorded the incident on their cell phone and that footage has now been handed over to the Department of Public Safety.

From ESPN: DPS assistant chief Chris Carr told ESPN’s Paula Lavigne that a civilian captured the incident on a cell phone, and that video is now in the possession of law enforcement.

Exposition Park Police are seeking more information about the incident and asked witnesses to contact the agency at (213) 744-7412.

Urias was placed on paid administrative leave on Wednesday and is not expected to return to the Dodgers this season. The left-hander is a free agent after the season.

More Fallout from the Urias Incident

The Dodgers removed a Julio Urias themed bobblehead night from the schedule earlier this week while issuing another statement on Wednesday. Additionally, a public autograph signing was canceled.

Urias will become the first player to ever be twice suspended under the joint MLB/MLBPA domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse policy.

  1. Very murky what happened and no info. Let’s wait to judge until the facts are in. So many people are instantly damning him. I have seen or heard nothing about what actually happened last week except he was arrested based on an observer seeing something.
